Monolayer piezo ceramics

Monolayer piezo ceramic components of Noliac are manufactured by Piezoceram based in Czech Republic. Piezoceram makes bulk components at any shape. These components are mainly used as transducers for sensing but also for ultrasonic, medical and marine applications. Furthermore Piezoceram manufactures bimorph actuators. Examples of Noliac leading edge are;
  • Ring bender.
    A d33 actuator has a blocking force in the range of kilo Newtons (kN) and a stroke in the range of microns (µm). Whereas a d31 bender has a blocking force in the range of Newtons and a stroke in the range of a millimeter. The ring bender forms an in between solution avoiding the need for an additional cantilever system. Since the ring bender design is thin, it is often used in height limited solutions.
